Find risky claims in your TikTok Shop content before you post
Check scripts, captions, videos, LIVE scripts and listings against TikTok Shop US policy and FTC and FDA claim rules. Each finding names its source, and the full check suggests a rewrite.

Magnesium is part of my nightly wind-down routine, and these gummies make it easy.
After you post
Most problems surface after the content is live
By then the penalty has applied, and the notice rarely names the exact sentence.
Shop points last 180 days
Every point deducted from a shop's Account Health Rating stays for 180 days. At 150 points, the shop may be unable to create new listings or enroll in new mega campaigns for 7 days.
Repeat creator violations freeze commissions
A creator who commits the same violation 6 times in 90 days may lose e-commerce permissions and have commissions frozen, whatever their Creator Health Rating.
Weight rules changed in August 2026
Low-risk weight wording for adults is no longer controlled, high-risk promises still are, and some official pages still show the older, stricter wording.
Disclaimers and code words do not help
TikTok says adding a disclaimer does not make a medical or weight claim acceptable, and that euphemisms for a disease still create risk.
What we check
Checked against each platform's own policy
FTC and FDA rules apply everywhere. Each platform adds its own policy layer on top.
Short videos and LIVE
Content from your own accounts and from affiliate creators, checked before filming and again on the finished video.
Script and caption check against TikTok Shop, FTC and FDA rules
Video check of the speech transcript, on-screen text and frames, with a timestamp on each finding
LIVE script check before the stream starts
Shop listings
Product titles, descriptions and images on TikTok Shop US.
Title and description check for medical, weight-management and absolute claims
Image check for visual risk, image by image
One-click rewrite of flagged wording, checked again before you use it
How it works
Three steps before you publish
Each finding names its rule, so you can verify it and decide what to change.
1
Paste or upload
Add a script, caption, listing text, video or image, and pick the product category so the right rules apply.
2
Read each finding
Each finding names the TikTok Shop, FTC or FDA rule it is based on. Video findings carry a timestamp.
3
Rewrite and check again
Apply the suggested rewrite or edit the line yourself, then run the check again before you post.
A check covers the content you submit. These issues sit outside it.
Account and shop status
Health ratings, appeals and deactivation are decided by TikTok. We cannot restore accounts or permissions.
Product eligibility
Whether you may sell a product at all. Supplements are invite-only on TikTok Shop US, and products designed specifically for weight loss stay prohibited despite the 2026 wording change.
Off-script LIVE remarks
We check the written LIVE script. What the host says off-script, replies to chat and on-camera demos are not covered.
Text inside images
The image check covers visual risk. Reading claims written on images is planned for a later stage.
If my content passes the check, will it avoid a violation?
No. A check catches risky wording before you publish, but TikTok makes the final decision. What we commit to is that every finding cites a rule you can verify.
How is this different from TikTok's Video Pre-Check?
Video Pre-Check reviews a finished shoppable video with a linked product inside Seller Center or Creator Center, with a limited number of checks per day, and its Auto-Post review covers health claims. ByeRisk also takes a written script before filming, names the rule behind each finding and suggests a rewrite. Using both is reasonable.
Can I check videos from affiliate creators?
Yes. Upload the video file. The speech is transcribed and checked with the same rules as text, on-screen text and frames are reviewed, and each finding is pinned to its timestamp so only that part needs to be re-recorded.
Do creator violations affect the shop?
TikTok's published rules link them in specific ways. If a shop is deactivated, its bound Official and Marketing accounts can lose e-commerce permissions. If one of those accounts receives an e-commerce ban, TikTok may review the seller, although the shop is not deactivated automatically. We found no official statement that an affiliate's violation lowers the shop's Account Health Rating.
Which rules do you check against?
TikTok Shop US policy pages on medical, weight-management and misleading claims; FTC guidance on claim substantiation and endorsements; and the FDA rules that separate cosmetic, supplement and drug claims. Each free tool page shows the rule pack version it runs.
Can you help with an appeal?
No. We can show which wording likely triggered a content violation, so you can fix it before you post again. Appeals, account issues and identity checks are outside our scope.
